Join the faculty4makers Challenge, the competition for makers and DIY enthusiasts
You are a student of Faculty IV and – during leisure time, outside university – you work on your own project that incorporates parts of your study knowledge? Great, join the faculty4makers Challenge!
START: 15 Nov 2017
CLOSING DATE: 11 March 2018
An exciting time has come for all of those, who do not only enjoy electrical engineering and computer science as part of their studies, but also spend a lot of their spare time as Do-It-Yourself enthusiasts loving to invent, design, program, remodel and recycle, experiment or tinker. A very special competition has started, initiated by the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science for all the makers among its students: the faculty4makers Challenge. Not at all focusing on study credits, this competition calls for the outcomes of what students develop, construct and build in their home garage, garden, living room, cellar and kitchen while using their expertise in science and engineering.
BE A PART OF THIS COMPETITION AND WIN
€ 600 (2nd place)
€ 300 (3rd place)
Moreover, the top three students can look forward to winning a visit to the creative festival Maker Faire Berlin.
The top ten makers get the chance to take part in coaching sessions, will be in the live final in May 2018 and are welcome to show their projects at ’Lange Nacht der Wissenschaften’ 2018, TU Berlin.

Please apply online. Send us a presentation of your project and also use a short film, video or clip (up to five minutes) to introduce it to us! And no, you need not to be an experienced film maker, you can shoot with your smartphone! Your project counts, not the film making itself.
