As a newly enrolled student, you will soon begin
your studies at Faculty IV Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science. For each of you, the start of your studies will certainly
bring new challenges, raise a lot of questions, many things are still
unknown and you may not yet have any contacts with other students here
at the university.
Even with the Corona pandemic, many things are still different this summer semester, because studying & teaching, but also introductory events, will again take place mostly digitally.
To make it easier for you to get started, we are compiling important information for you here. Dear new enrollees, please check back here regularly over the next few days, as we will be continuously updating our offerings for the beginning of the semester.

The digital information event "How TU Study" was aimed at all Master's students who are new to the TU Berlin or the faculty shortly before the start of lectures.
You missed the event? View the entire event here .
Here you can find the presentation. 
Students of the "Freitagsrunde ", student initiative of Faculty IV, explain everything about studying at the TU Berlin: From timetabling, lecture videos, homework, exams, module catalogs, portals and IT services, Zoom and much more. "What is this? What do I need that for? Where can I find this? How does this work? Who can I contact?" These are questions that our students will answer for you.
Mon, 12.4. - Tue, 13.4.: Introduction Days for Master Students
On 12/13 April 2021, the live welcome by the Dean's Office via the Internet, followed by online introductory events to the individual Master's degree programs, marked the start of your Master's degree program at Faculty IV in summer semester 2021. In the introductory events, you were given a lot of information about your degree program and your studies. You missed the events or would like to watch the slides of your subject-specific introduction again?
You can find the video recording of the welcome event as well as all presentations under the corresponding item in the program .
Tue, 13.4. & 20.4.: Ask the Faculty
Starting your studies is often associated with many questions and uncertainties. Especially at the beginning of a digital semester, it is easy to feel left alone. In this relaxed online consultation our Course Guidance as well as our Mentoring Team will answer all your questions about studying and the digital semester .

Do you have any questions about your degree program?
If you have any questions regarding your degree program, please contact our student advisory service  by email. The advisors are students themselves and will be happy to help you with organizational and content-related questions.

Since the winter semester 2019/20, the mentoring  of Faculty IV has been supporting and accompanying students - initially focused on first-semester students of the Bachelor's degree programs - in all questions concerning their studies during the introductory phase. In further steps, offers for higher Bachelor's semesters and Master's students will follow.
The Mentoring website also offers helpful online information for master students about the study and student life at Faculty IV. In digital tutorials , e.g. for the platforms LSF, MOSES, ISIS, you can familiarize yourself with the IT systems of the TU Berlin.
The Examination Board of the respective degree program makes sure that examination regulations are respected and are responsible for all related questions in this regard. The Examination Board deals with all questions concerning exams but does not provide study counseling. Please contact the Student Advisory Service  for all general questions regarding your course of study and application forms.

Student initiative "Freitagsrunde"
The student initiative "Freitagsrunde " of Faculty IV is a group of students who volunteer at the TU Berlin during their studies. In normal times the "Freitagsrunde" meets on Fridays at 2pm. Are you interested? You can find contact information on the website.
Student initiative "MInitiative"
In the student initiative "MInitiative " Digital Media & Technology (Medieninformatik) students organize themselves year-spreading, in order to promote the exchange among themselves. The goals include improving teaching conditions and representing student interests.
